Truth

Truth is a very funny thing, it cuts, it hurts, it penetrates to the very depths of our souls. Most cannot handle the truth and prefer a lie.

Today most people live a lie, they live behind the mask of hypocrisy, pretending to be something they are not. This happens in all corners of life. Whether you are successful in business, politics, religion, education, the truth and nothing but the truth is not always forthcoming.

Tell a lie and people will accept it! Be honest and truthful and people will find you callous and insensitive. Go with the flow and you are a sweet and caring individual! Tell people what you really think and you become a “politically incorrect “ demon.

Maybe it could be that people prefer to bow down to the father of lies versus the father of truth. This has been a curse from the beginning of time.

George Orwell stated, “The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak it.” In today’s world the truth is called a lie and the lie is hailed as the truth.
Another of George Orwell’s saying also hits the nail on the head, “Truth, it’s the new hate speech and during times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.” I do believe this is where we are at today! If one speaks out against the lies that exist today be it in politics, religion, education or social issues then you are labeled as a revolutionary.

Jack Nicolson said it best in the movie a Few Good Men, “You want the truth? You can’t handle the truth!” So people prefer believing the lie as it appears to be easier to swallow and as an anonymous source stated, “the truth often hurts, that is why so many ignore it

We are living in an age where lies prevail and are accepted as truth. We live in a state of denying truth but as the prophet Isaiah wrote, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil. Who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter” Isaiah 5:20
